“As the man behind the plan, I would like to welcome you all to ‘The Way We Were’, a web site dedicated to the 50s, 60's and 70's. I do not know about you, but I never left these wonder years and they sure as hell never left me.

In order to feed my passion for what I consider as thee Golden Era in 20th century Britain, I thought what better way than using the infernal World Wide Web to contact other lovers of all things passed and nostalgic.

I hope to run this site as an online magazine with regular updates by all those who want to get involved with this project. I hope, we can swap ideas, memories and gather information about our mutual interests. I am also looking to organise a buy-and-sell section so collectors like you and I can search for and advertise our items of interest. Is there an elusive L.P. you’ve been searching for or a classic car from your childhood you would like to have another good look at? Chances are it could be right here for you…

I will also publish photos of the many items that I have gathered over the years and I would like to encourage other collectors to do the same. I hope to publish a monthly e-mail/news letter with updates of shows, meetings, general ‘get-together's and any relevant subjects.

So if you are interested and this sounds like exciting stuff, any ideas or feedback will be massively appreciated. So far, I’ve got plenty of ideas floating around at the moment including supplying props for films, photo shoots for magazines, window displays for related shops…

The possibilities really are endless and if you want to be part of what I think is going to be something pretty special, come on board and let’s all relive ‘The Way We Were’.
